Man shot after trying to stop argument in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A man who tried to “intervene in an argument” is in the hospital after he was shot in central Phoenix early Sunday morning, according to authorities.

The Phoenix Police Department said the shooting happened at around 2:30 a.m. near 7th Street and Indian School Road.

Police said the man was seriously injured.

The shooting victim was driven to the hospital after he was shot, according to police.

Police said when officers arrived on the scene, they found a person who admitted involvement in the incident.

Other details about the shooting were not released.
