Man arrested after shooting incident in Goodyear



A man is facing aggravated assault and aggravated DUI charges after an incident in the West Valley.

GOODYEAR, Ariz. — A man was arrested after a shooting incident in Goodyear, the city’s police department said.

Officers were sent to a scene Saturday night near Bullard and Indian School Road for a report of a man who had been shot in the leg. 

Police said the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. Authorities said officers located the suspect vehicle shortly thereafter on I-10 and conducted a traffic stop. 

The suspect was identified as a man and was arrested for aggravated assault and aggravated DUI. 

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. Their identity and condition was not immediately released.
