Looters hit Surprise convenience store



Police said around 50 people were involved in the looting.

SURPRISE, Ariz. — A store in Surprise was looted by dozens of people on Saturday night, according to authorities.

The Surprise Police Department said it happened at a convenience store near Bell Road and State Route 303.

Police said around 50 people were involved in the looting.

Police said the “misconduct” and “reckless criminal behavior” interfered with access to a hospital in the area and affected people who had medical emergencies and were seeking help at the hospital.

Police are asking anyone who might have photos or video footage or other information that can help identify those responsible to contact them at 623-222-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip through [email protected], reference incident 250603149.

“We will use every available resource, including surveillance footage, witness statements, and digital evidence, to identify, arrest, and prosecute all individuals involved to the fullest extent of the law,” police said.
