Late-night shooting in Ahwatukee leaves 2 teens dead, 1 injured



The Phoenix police said the shooting that left two teens dead and another in the hospital happened near 48th Street and Warner Road Saturday night.

PHOENIX — Two teenage boys are dead and another is injured after a shooting in Phoenix Saturday night, according to authorities.

The Phoenix Police Department said the shooting happened near 48th Street and Warner Road.

Officers were called out to reports of a shooting. When they got to the scene, they found two teen boys, each with at least one gunshot wound.

One teen was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The second teen was taken to the hospital and later died.

Another call for service led police to a third teen who also suffered at least one gunshot wound. The third teen was taken to the hospital and has non-life-threatening injuries. 

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case, police said.

Police did not release the names of the teens who were involved and have not given any more information on the shooting.
