PHOENIX — A woman has died after she was struck by a car in west Phoenix. Police said that the driver involved fled the scene.
The crash happened near 34th Avenue and Maricopa Street, just north of Buckeye Road around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, according to a police report.
Officers arrived to find the woman seriously injured. First responders took her to the hospital where she later died.
Investigators believe that the vehicle involved was driving westbound on Maricopa Street at the time of the crash.
