Driver of stolen Amazon truck speeds away from police

PHOENIX — A woman has been arrested after she allegedly stole an Amazon truck in Phoenix and sped away from investigating officers, according to authorities.

The Phoenix Police Department said the delivery person reported the missing vehicle on Saturday.

Officers tracked the delivery van to a location near 89th Avenue and McDowell Road, but the driver sped away, according to police.

Police said they were able to get the driver, Salina Marie Duran, 31, to stop near the I-10 westbound off-ramp and 91st Avenue.

Duran was arrested, police said.
