Ramon Moraga and Nadia Mysliwiec were shot while seated in a parked car in Scottsdale on June 30.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Three people—two juveniles and an 18-year-old—have been arrested in connection with the deaths of two people in Scottsdale, the city’s police department said.
Ramon Moraga and Nadia Mysliwiec were shot while seated in a parked car near 115th Street and Sahuaro Drive on June 30 at 9:45 p.m.
Family and friends told 12News the couple was newly engaged.
“It feels very unfair and unfortunate,” a friend of the victim said.
That friend said the woman was a shining light with a bright future ahead of her.
“It doesn’t feel real. She made a huge impact on people. It was her energy, it was how she spoke to people, how welcoming she was,” the friend said.
Scottsdale Police said two juveniles and Lebron Rogers, 18, were arrested for their alleged involvement in the homicides on July 29.
Multiple search warrants were served on July 29, and two missing juveniles were located while those warrants were served, police said.
Rogers was arrested at a Phoenix home by the Scottsdale Special Assignments Unit. Police said during the search warrant, evidence was recovered “linking the suspects to the homicides.”
The two juveniles allegedly involved in the homicide were arrested at a house in Glendale. A search warrant was also served at that home.
Rogers was arrested and is facing two counts of murder and two counts of armed robbery with a deadly weapon.
Both juvenile suspects are being held in custody in juvenile court and face two counts of murder, as well as two counts of armed robbery with a deadly weapon.
