Arizona 14-year-old has life-threatening injuries after being shot in head



Police in Yuma are investigating after a 14-year-old was shot ing the head on Friday.

YUMA, Ariz. — A 14-year-old from Yuma has life-threatening injuries after being shot in the head, according to authorities.

The Yuma Police Department said the teen was shot in the 1900 block of S 17th Avenue on Friday.

Officers responded to a home in the area and found the injured teen in the living room of the home.

The teen was taken to a local hospital in Yuma and then airlifted to a Phoenix hospital for treatment, police said.

“At the time of the incident, a 21-year-old sibling was present. The sibling was questioned and released pending further investigation,” police said.
