Police said a video recently shared with the department is part of the ongoing investigation.
PEORIA, Ariz. — Video circulating of an animal cruelty incident is being investigated and charges are pending, according to officials with the Peoria Police Department.
The incident happened on Friday near Peoria and 87th avenues, police said, and involved a small dog. The case has been submitted to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for review, police said.
“We are aware that video of the incident was submitted to various media outlets by someone who is unknown at this time,” Peoria police said in a statement. “That same video was shared with our department just a few hours ago, and investigators are currently reviewing it as part of the ongoing case.”
