Things to do: Summer District Splash Days, lunch specials at Desert Ridge Marketplace | Things To Do



Summer is here and that means so are the triple-digit temps. Like most summers, local residents are looking for ways to stay cool while enjoying the summer sun and Desert Ridge Marketplace has the perfect solution.

New this year, the popular North Phoenix shopping and entertainment destination will host District Splash Days at the Splash Pad at Desert Ridge.

District Splash Days at The Splash Pad at Desert Ridge take place at the shopping center, located at 21001 N. Tatum Boulevard in Phoenix. The splash pad is located near Cold Stone Creamery and AMC.

Dates include: 

  • Wednesday, July 10, 10:30 a.m. to noon: The theme is “puppy patrol.” There will be DJ Beats, free photos, a free craft (an ‘about me’ paw poster), giveaways and more.

  • Wednesday, July 24, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.: The theme is “under the sea.” There will be DJ Beats, free photos with your favorite mermaid, free make-your-own shell necklace, giveaways and more.

Summer lunch specials

While you’re enjoying the free entertainment, 14 different restaurants at Desert Ridge Marketplace are offering summer lunch specials Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Participating restaurants include:

  • Spitz Mediterranean: Buy an entrée, get one free side.

  • CupBop: Buy one bowl, get one 50% off.

  • Dirty Dough: Buy one get one 50% off.

  • Kona Grill: $19 power lunch.

  • Nautical Bowls: 15% off any size bowl or smoothie.

  • Thirsty Lion: 20% off with a minimum purchase of $15.

  • Fly Bye: 15% off.

  • Flower Child: Free lemonade with a lunch entree purchase.
