This fall, Fountain Hills is set to shine with music, art, food, and family traditions. From September through December, local streets, parks, and trails will transform into vibrant stages for celebration. With more than 30 events packed into the 2025 Fall Events Guide, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy the season right here at home.
“The weather is cooling down, and soon it will be the start of one of the best times of year in Arizona,” said Amanda Jacobs, Fountain Hills’ economic development director. “In Fountain Hills, we pride ourselves on hosting a variety of incredible events for locals and visitors alike.”
That variety covers it all. One weekend you could be sinking your teeth into a peach cobbler at the 5th Annual Peach Market, the next you are watching Ballet Arizona perform under a canopy of desert stars. By November, the streets overflow with artists, runners and parade floats, all framed by the McDowell Mountains and the town’s world-famous fountain.
Highlights this fall include:
• 5th Annual Peach Market (Now through Sept. 27): Saturdays this month are full of Utah peaches, more than 25 food vendors, live music and, on Sept. 20, a Children’s Entrepreneur Market where young business owners sell their goods.
• Ballet Under the Stars (Sept. 18): Ballet Arizona performs a mix of classics and contemporary works, free in Fountain Park.
• Oktoberfest (Oct. 3–4): One of the Valley’s few authentic Bavarian-style festivals, complete with German food, beer and music.
• Happy Hour Wine Walk (first Fridays, Oct.–April 2026): Sip and stroll through local businesses along the Avenue of the Fountains with curated wine and food pairings.
• Spooky Blast (Oct. 25): Four Peaks Park transforms into a Halloween carnival with candy stations, inflatables, science shows and costume contests.
• Fall Fountain Festival of Fine Arts and Crafts (Nov. 14–16): Hundreds of artists showcase everything from jewelry to sculpture in one of the largest shows in the Southwest.
• Turkey Trot and Thanksgiving Day Parade (Nov. 27): Start your holiday with a run around the fountain, then join thousands lining the streets for the popular Thanksgiving parade.
• Stroll in the Glow (Dec. 6): The Avenue lights up with holiday décor, music, shopping and Santa sightings.
For those looking for more, there is plenty. Fountain Hills Theater’s season includes Cabaret in September, Six: Teen Edition in October and A Christmas Carol in December. The River of Time Museum reopens Oct. 1 with a new exhibit and lecture series, while Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation cultural tours begin in November. Outdoor lovers can choose between guided hikes with the Sonoran Conservancy and astronomy nights with Night Sky Tourist.
“Each event will leave guests with unique experiences and lasting memories,” Jacobs said. “From arts festivals to astronomy nights, you can make a different kind of memory here every weekend.”
Holiday traditions also play a starring role. From the whimsical Breakfast with Santa and Sensitive Santa events on Nov. 29 to the glow of holiday lights at December’s Avenue stroll, Fountain Hills makes space for both the bustling and the quiet moments that define the season.
“This year’s full calendar really exemplifies our commitment to community, creativity and celebration,” Jacobs added. “We invite everyone to come out and experience what makes Fountain Hills so special.”
