Carefree Bourbon and Cigar Festival Returns in March | Business

Sticks Golf & Cigar Lounge will host the second annual Carefree Bourbon and Cigar Festival March 20-22, bringing three days of spirits, cigars, live music and social gatherings to the Carefree venue.

The festival, which debuted last April, is designed as a relaxed, upscale experience where guests can sample local and national spirits, browse cigar vendors, enjoy food and live entertainment and spend time in comfortable lounge areas. The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day, with a portion of proceeds supporting the Foothills Food Bank.

“The Carefree Bourbon and Cigar Festival is all about slowing down and enjoying the good stuff,” owner Larry Foppe said.

“It’s a laid-back, upscale gathering where guests can sample great local and national spirits, enjoy premium cigars, check out local food vendors, catch live music and spend time in comfortable lounge spaces with friends old and new.”

Ticket options range from general admission to VIP packages. General admission includes tasting tickets and a swag bag, while VIP passes offer early entry, reserved seating, additional tasting tickets, complimentary cigars, drink tickets, merchandise and access to a Saturday afterparty. A separate VIP cigar dinner on March 20 will feature a buffet, cigars, drink tickets and time with vendors.

Froppe said the cigar festival is truly unique.

“No one has done anything like this in Arizona before,” Foppe said.

“No cigar shop has ever tried to pull something like this together. We’ve got great music, five or six cigar vendors selling boxes and an incredible mix of drinks from multiple local distilleries to several of the national brands.”

Sticks Golf & Cigar Lounge operates as a social club featuring fine cigars, drinks and golf simulators in a relaxed setting.
