Phoenix Circle K gas station closed after gunshot victim was found

Shooting near Circle K gas station investigated

PHOENIX – Police are investigating a shooting call in the area of 19th Avenue and Broadway Road.

When they arrived at the scene on December 27 at 7 a.m., they found an adult male inside a vehicle at the Circle K gas station with a gunshot wound.

Investigators are working to determine where the shooting happened. 

“Officers learned that the shooting occurred in the area of 7th Avenue and Pima Street after which the victim self-transported to 19th Avenue,” said Sgt. Rob Scherer.

First responders transported the person to an area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Circle K will remain closed during the investigation.

No names or suspect information has been released.
