Man seriously injured following shooting at Phoenix neighborhood: PD

PHOENIX – Phoenix Police said a man suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries as a result of a shooting that happened on Aug. 29.

What we know:

Per an earlier statement, officers were called to a neighborhood near 29th Avenue and Sweetwater for reports of a man who was shot inside his home.

“Officers provided medical aid to the victim and were able to take him to Phoenix Fire away from the scene,” read a portion of the statement.

In a later statement, police said the residence was cleared by tactical units at around 7:45 p.m., but the suspect was not found.

What they’re saying:

“The suspect is still outstanding and not believed to be a danger to the neighborhood,” police said.
