Student killed in Nashville school shooting
Two students were shot by another student at Antioch High School in Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday. Metro Nashville police say a 17-year-old male student opened fire in a cafeteria, shooting two female students, one of which died. The shooter then fatally shot himself. The other female gunshot victim is “stable” at hospital, according to authorities.

The shooting took place at about 11:09 a.m. ET, officials said during a news conference. The shooter, identified only as a 17-year-old male, took out a pistol and fired multiple shots in the cafeteria.
The shooter took the bus to school before the shooting, according to police.
One 16-year-old student was killed and was only identified as a Hispanic female. Another 17-year-old female student was grazed in the arm and is in stable condition, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
Another student suffered a face injury but was not hit by gunfire, police said. This student is being treated at a local hospital.
SWAT teams have cleared the school building and there is no threat at this time.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations and the FBI are assisting with the incident.

Three students were shot at Antioch High School on Wednesday, according to police. Officials say the suspect sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Students were taken to a reunification site located at 3654 Murfreesboro Pike, which is less than a mile away from the school.
