CHANDLER, AZ — Some residents in a Chandler neighborhood were evacuated due to a bomb threat Sunday night, police say.
Chandler police say officers were called to the area of Rural and Ray roads around 6 p.m. after receiving reports of a man with an explosive device inside a home.
Some residents in the area were evacuated as a precaution, though Chandler police say that residents are now safe. Mesa bomb squad is still on the scene to exhaust their search.
A man was ultimately taken into custody in connection to the incident.
