Serious crash shuts down southbound lanes of Loop 101 near Chandler Boulevard

CHANDLER, AZ — A serious crash has shut down the southbound lanes of Loop 101 in Chandler on Wednesday night.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say there are “serious injuries” after the crash near Chandler Boulevard.

DPS says three people were hurt, and one of those three is in critical condition.

Five vehicles were involved in the crash.

It’s not yet known when the freeway will reopen.

DPS is investigating what led up to the crash.
