Crash involving Gila River PD officer shuts down I-10 westbound at Riggs Road

CHANDLER, AZ — Several people have been injured, including a Gila River police officer, in a crash that has shut down westbound lanes of Interstate 10 and Riggs Road, south of the Valley.

DPS says the crash included four vehicles, including a Gila River PD patrol cruiser. Two people have serious injuries, and the officer has minor injuries, according to DPS.

It’s unclear what led up to the crash.
