Famous Phoenix Suns fan, ‘Mr. ORNG’, sentenced to 3-and-a-half years in prison, lifetime probation for multiple sex-related charges

PHOENIX — A former Peoria High School basketball coach and famous Phoenix Suns fan known as “Mr. ORNG” has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison and a lifetime of probation after pleading guilty in mid-March to sex-related charges.

Patrick Battillo pled guilty to three counts of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.

Battillo faced allegations that he solicited sexually explicit photos and videos from five minors, three more than previously reported.

The boys were between the ages of 15 and 17, prosecutors say. Most of the communication came from the social media app Snapchat, according to reports.

Battillo was known for showing up dressed in all orange at Suns games, becoming a familiar fixture.
