Former Higley High School basketball coach arrested for allegedly sharing nude photos without consent

PHOENIX, Arizona — Kenneth Drake, a former Higley High School head basketball coach, was arrested for allegedly sharing nude photos of a woman without her consent, according to Gilbert police. 

Gilbert police arrested Drake April 3 following an investigation launched after the alleged victim filed a report. 

The Higley Unified School District said that Drake’s employment with the district ended March 16, 2026. 

An offer of employment was made to Drake by Westwood High School in Mesa. The district told 12News that an offer was rescinded prior to his arrest. 

“Mr. Drake was never Governing Board approved and did not have any interaction with Westwood students or the team before or after the rescinded offer,” said a spokesperson with Mesa Public Schools.
