Man, woman die after apparent murder-suicide in Phoenix, police say

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Two people are dead after being shot in north Phoenix, according to officials with the city’s police department. 

On March 28, around 8:30 p.m., officers were called to a scene near 39th Avenue and Salter Drive for a shooting. As officers arrived, police said they found a man and woman inside a home with gunshot wounds. According to officials, both victims were pronounced dead on the scene.

Initial information indicates that the man likely shot and killed the woman before turning the gun on himself. Phoenix police said a final determination will be made after autopsies are conducted. 

The identities of the two victims were not released. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
