Phoenix Police unveil their expansive new headquarters, marking a historic upgrade that modernizes operations and enhances community services.
PHOENIX — The Phoenix Police Department is holding the grand opening of its new police headquarters on Friday morning, replacing the more than 50-year-old headquarters near 7th Avenue and West Washington Street.
The new headquarters will be located near 1st Avenue and West Washington Street.
Officials said this building is the largest in its history, offering more than 500,000 square feet of “purpose-built space”. The Investigations Unit, Dispatch, Employment Services and the Phoenix Public Records and Services Unit will be housed in the headquarters.
Mayor Kate Gallego, Phoenix Police Chief Matthew Giordano and others spoke at the event.
