Woman hit by vehicle in Mesa transported to hospital in critical condition

MESA, AZ — A woman walking in the area of Southern Ave and Dobson Road was critically injured when she was hit by a vehicle on Monday Morning.

This happened around 8:30 a.m. near Banner Desert Medical Center.

Mesa police say the woman was transported to a hospital. No word yet on her identity.

We do not know, at this point, if the driver of the vehicle stopped.

Detectives are investigating what led up to the crash.
