Two Valued Partners of the Tri-Community Food Bank (TCFB)

Bashas’ Grocery Store

Bashas’ grocery store in Catalina has been supporting the TCFB for the past 11 years helping the food bank meet its mission of “Feeding our neighbors in SE Pinal County.” Bashas’ has been donating bakery items such bread, cakes, cookies, etc. and providing space for a donation box that customers can donate food items throughout the year. TCFB is also a customer of Bashas’ ordering much of the food bank’s grocery purchases at a discount.

One of the food bank’s challenges is dealing with the large volume of cardboard that comes from unpacking food boxes and cartons. Bashas’ allows the food bank to use the store’s compactor, and it recycles the large volume of cardboard. A huge help and savings for the TCFB.

The TCFB wishes to send a special thanks to Bashas’ store director Shawn Dorsey, bookkeeper Cindy Davis, and all other involved staff members for their assistance and support!

SaddleBrooke Sunrise Rotary (SBSR)

The SaddleBrooke Sunrise Rotary members assist the TCFB several times a month, helping to unload large food deliveries from the United Food Bank in Mesa and Bashas’ grocery store. These volunteers help unpack pallets and boxes, date items, and stock products in the food bank’s freezers, coolers, pantry, and warehouse. In addition to the regularly scheduled assistance that SBSR members provide, they are always willing to assist the food bank with special projects.

We want to extend a huge thank you to the SaddleBrooke Sunrise Rotary and their wonderful members who continue to support the TCFB. We don’t know what we would do without them!

The Tri-Community Food Bank is an all-volunteer organization, spending zero funds on administration costs. The TCFB serves the communities of Oracle, San Manuel, Mammoth, Dudleyville, and Aravaipa.
