Suns player Dillon Brooks was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Scottsdale after police say he was stopped for allegedly failing to stay in one lane six times.
PHOENIX — Suns player Dillon Brooks was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Friday morning in Scottsdale, according to officials with the city’s police department.
Police said they stopped Brooks on Scottsdale Road, south of Thunderbird Road, after allegedly failing to stay in one lane.

12News obtained bodycam footage from the arrest. An officer quickly asks Brooks if there is marijuana in the car.
“It smells like a dispensary in your car,” the officer said to Brooks.
Brooks denied smoking marijuana for the last six months and was asked to do a sobriety test.
“Why are you lying about how much marijuana you’ve consumed in the last 6 months? You’ve definitely consumed marijuana tonight,” an officer said after the test.
Brooks was then placed under arrest on suspicion of DUI, police said.
He was booked into the Scottsdale city jail and released after the booking process was complete, around 3:30 a.m.
Brooks had surgery in late February on his left hand for a fracture and was set to miss the next four-to-six weeks before being re-evaluated, the team said. The forward hurt his left hand in a double-overtime win against the Orlando Magic.
