Turf Paradise: A family-friendly racing hub in Phoenix | Business

For 70 years, the thundering hooves at 1501 W. Bell Road have served as a heartbeat for local sports fans. Now, Turf Paradise is gallanting into a fresh chapter.

Under the new leadership of Skyfall 7, which took over operations in December, 2025, the track debuted a revitalized experience for the 2026 season.

As the longest-running organized sports franchise in Phoenix, the track is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. Despite its deep roots, many residents are unaware the facility is currently hosting live action. Marketing Manager Angie Stevens noted that the venue is entering a “New Era” defined by a family-friendly atmosphere.

“New Management. New Ownership. New Era,” the organization stated in its mission to welcome the community back. “We offer a family friendly environment for everyone to come out and enjoy live Horseracing in Phoenix.”

The track features both Thoroughbred and quarter horse racing, with live cards scheduled Monday through Thursday. The facility also hosts special events and “family fun days” on select Saturdays. These gatherings often feature unique themes and are announced via the track’s social media channels.

One of the most anticipated dates on the calendar is May 2, when Turf Paradise hosts a major event in conjunction with the Kentucky Derby.

Beyond live racing, the facility remains a hub for enthusiasts year-round. The air-conditioned Clubhouse offers simulcasting from more than 60 tracks worldwide, including major venues like Churchill Downs and Saratoga, where fans can follow the action from across the country seven days a week.
