TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – The Pima County Sheriff’s Department released a statement on Friday saying, investigators are actively pursuing leads in the Nancy Guthrie case and are not ruling out the possibility that more than one person may be involved. According to PCSD, detectives and agents are carefully reviewing surveillance footage from neighbors in the area.
The biological evidence found at the 84-year-old’s Catalina Foothills home is going through a DNA analysis.
From Feb. 1 to Feb. 19, the department received 32,906 calls, a significant increase from the 21,983 calls during the same period in 2025. The 9-1-1 Communications Center remains overwhelmed with calls, and officials urge the public to report only actionable tips to keep lines open for emergencies and legitimate information, PCSD said.
Investigators are focusing on identifying the individual seen on doorbell surveillance video. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has stated that multiple suspects could be involved.
The FBI has received more than 21,000 tips related to the case and continues to encourage anyone with information to contact them at 1-800-CALL-FBI (800-225-5324).
In a related update, temporary roadway changes have been announced by the Pima County Department of Transportation in front of Nancy Guthrie’s home.
No press briefings are scheduled at this time.
