PHOENIX — Our latest winter storm is moving out and high pressure is building in.
That means, a big warm-up is coming!
Saturday is looking gorgeous with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 70s across the Valley. That is right near normal for this time of year.
By Sunday, we jump 10 degrees, putting Valley temperatures in the low 80s.
The warm-up won’t stop there. Highs will continue to climb each day next week and by Friday we could see our 90s of the year!
On average, our first 90s tend to happen around March 30th so this would be nearly a month sooner than normal.
Last year, our first 90-degree day happened on February 25th which was also around a month sooner than normal.
Phoenix has only had 8 days on record in the month of February with temperatures in the 90s, so temperatures this warm this soon have historically been rare.
