University of Arizona Online programs rank among top in the nation | Good News

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – Arizona Online is making waves in the world of online education, consistently securing top rankings and demonstrating excellence in various programs.

According to a news release, Arizona Online has been ranked among the top 5% of 348 programs in the 2026 Best Online Bachelor’s Programs by U.S. News & World Report. It also ranks No. 9 for Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for veterans, marking its sixth consecutive top 15 placement.

“Arizona Online’s consistent position near the top of these rankings in multiple areas of study reflects the University of Arizona’s rigorous academic standards,” Gary Packard, interim senior vice provost for online initiatives, said.

The Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona also received accolades, with its MBA program tying for No. 6 overall and No. 1 in Arizona. Karthik Kannan, dean and Halle Chair in Leadership of Eller College, highlighted the customizable, tech-forward curriculum and dual-degree opportunities as key factors in their success.

“We’ve worked hard to develop a customizable online program featuring tech-forward curriculum with unique dual-degree opportunities,” Kannan said.

Arizona Online’s bachelor’s in psychology program tied for No. 5 overall, and its engineering master’s program tied for No. 24 overall and No. 16 for veterans. Additionally, the computer information technology graduate programs ranked No. 6 overall and No. 4 for veterans.

In fall 2025, Arizona Online enrolled more than 10,100 students, showing an increase of more than 400 students from the previous year. Most students are working adults, parents, and active military personnel.

These rankings reflect the U of A’s commitment to student success and community engagement, with U.S. News evaluating programs based on criteria like student engagement, faculty credentials and technology.
