Here’s where to find free & discounted food in Tucson

Local groups continue to distribute free and discounted food boxes for people and pets who need help. Here’s a roundup of special and ongoing events.

Tuesday, Jan. 20: Interfaith Community Services will
distribute food boxes from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Connection Pointe Church, 4314 N. Romero Rd. Find a complete schedule here.

distribute food boxes from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 1019 E. 31st St. Find a complete schedule here.

Wednesday, Jan. 21: The Humane Society of Southern Arizona will
distribute free pet food from 4 to 6 p.m. at the organization’s main

Thursday, Jan. 22: Interfaith Community Services will
distribute food boxes from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at New Spirit Lutheran Church, 8701 E. Old Spanish Trail. Find a complete schedule here.

Friday, Jan. 23: Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona will distribute food boxes from 8 to 10 a.m. at Picture Rocks Park, 5615 N. Sanders Rd. More information at the organization’s website.

Friday, Jan. 23: Interfaith Community Services will be
hosting a free drive-thru produce giveaway from 8 to 10 a.m. at El Pueblo Community Center, 101 W. Irvington Rd. Produce

Saturday, Jan. 24: Market on the Move offers a package of
produce and other food for $10. Selection varies depending on
availability. This week’s locations include the MOM warehouse, 4513 E.

Ongoing food distribution

Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona distributes food boxes from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Fridays and from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Gabrielle Giffords Center, 3003 S. Country Club Rd. More details at the organization’s website.

Greater Vail Community ReSources Food Bank offers food distribution at from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays, noon to 4 p.m. on Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays. 13105 E. Interfaith Community Services runs a food bank on the grounds of Christ the King Espiscopal Church, 2820 W. Ina Rd. Distribution is 8 to 11 a.m. Monday through Saturday, with evening hours from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. Recipients can register on site with ID proving Pima County residence. University of Arizona Campus Pantry allows anyone with a CatCard to shop for a variety of grocery items using a set number of points. The pantry has two locations: On the first floor of the Student Union, and in the Health Sciences Library, 1501 N. Campbell Ave. Hours vary; find details at the organization’s website.

Mobile Meals of Southern Arizona delivers meals to your home Monday through Friday. Cost is $5 to $7 per meal. Enroll at the organization’s website.
