Maricopa County detention officer arrested, accused of child sex crimes

BUCKEYE, Ariz. — A Maricopa County detention officer is in custody after he was accused of abusing a girl for more than a year.

36-year-old Isidro Caro is a Buckeye resident and had allegedly been abusing an 11‑year‑old girl who knew him, according to a report received by Buckeye police.

Buckeye police and the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Caro on Friday and booked him into jail. He’s facing charges of child molestation, sexual abuse and sexual conduct with a minor.

Caro has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the Buckeye police investigation, MCSO confirmed.
