WASHINGTON, D.C. (KVOA) – Arizona Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva’s recent action has propelled a congressional petition regarding the Jeffrey Epstein files to a pivotal point.
Grijalva signed the discharge petition on Wednesday, becoming the crucial 218th signature needed to bring the matter to a vote.
House Speaker Mike Johnson announced late Wednesday that he plans to introduce a bill next week that would mandate the release of the Epstein files.
Despite this progress, the measure faces significant hurdles. It must pass the Republican-led Senate and be signed by President Donald Trump, who has criticized the effort.
In related developments, emails made public by the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday reveal discussions Epstein had regarding Donald Trump, and Bill Clinton. Both Trump and Clinton have consistently denied any wrongdoing and have never faced criminal charges related to these discussions.
