Woman in critical condition after Avondale shooting, suspect detained

AVONDALE, Ariz. — A woman is in critical condition after she was shot in Avondale, according to authorities.

The Avondale Police Department said the shooting happened at an apartment complex near Dysart and McDowell roads.

Police said a suspect has been detained.

Other details have not been released.
