PHOENIX – A shooting involving Phoenix Police officers happened in central Phoenix on Friday night.
What we know:
The Oct. 10 incident has roads shut down in the area of 16th and Roosevelt streets, the police department said, including the I-10 off ramp at 16th Street.
Police say the incident, which started as a stolen vehicle investigation, lasted for several hours and led officers through multiple downtown streets.
Officers tried to stop the unidentified driver, but they kept speeding away. Phoenix Police say the driver was seen shooting out of his car, but it wasn’t clear what he was shooting at.
The suspect was shot by officers and has life-threatening injuries.
