Emergency Voting starts today for the Special General Election for CD7 | Decision 2025



TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – Make sure your voice is heard as Emergency Voting is taking place today, ahead of the Special General Election for Congressional District 7. 

In case you missed Early Voting or didn’t get a chance to mail back your ballot, Emergency Voting is happening on Sept. 20 and Sept. 22. 

The voting sites for Emergency Voting will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Monday. The list of the voting sites can be found on the Pima County Recorder’s website.

Residents can check their eligibility to vote through the Voter Registration Dashboard. 

Those who still have a ballot can drop it off at any Pima County Voting location or 24/7 Ballot Drop Box. 

Pima County has three Ballot Drop Boxes open 24/7 and through 7 p.m. on Election Day. The Ballot Drop Boxes locations are:

  • Downtown walk up: Recorder’s Office 240 N. Stone Ave. – In the courtyard facing the office
  • Downtown drive up: Recorder’s Office 240 N. Stone Ave. – On utility driveway between 240 N. Stone Ave. and 200 N. Stone Ave.
  • Eastside drive up: Recorder’s Office 6920 E. Broadway Blvd. – Southwest corner of parking lot in front of the Pima County Health Department Office

All Vote Centers will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, which is Sept. 23.

The candidates, Dem. Adelita Grijalva and Rep. Daniel Butierez, are running for the seat left vacant by Congressman Raúl Grijalva’s passing.
