Congressional District 7 residents must register to vote in the Sept. 23 election before midnight on Monday, Aug. 25.

The special congressional election between Democrat
Adelita Grijalva and Republican Daniel Butierez was made
necessary by the March death of Grijalva’ father, longtime U.S. Rep. Raúl
Grijalva.

If you’ve moved, changed your name, or want to change political parties, you must complete a new voter registration form. To register, you must be a U.S. citizen and at least 18 years old at the time of the election.

Voters can register to vote or change their registration online at AZ MVD Now (previously Service Arizona) or by filling out a new voter registration form, which can be found at most post offices, libraries and other locations. (Find specific spots at the Pima County Recorder’s website.)

Pima County voters can check their registration status at the Recorder’s Office website.

Early ballots are scheduled to be mailed to Pima County voters on the Active Early Voter List on Wednesday, Aug. 27.

Early voting locations where voters can cast ballots in person will begin to open on Aug. 27, including the Pima County Recorder’s Office downtown location at 240 N. Stone Ave., the Recorder’s East Side location at 6920 E. Broadway and the Recorder’s South Side branch at 6550 S. Country Club Road. All are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. They will be closed on Labor Day, Sept. 1.

More early voting locations are scheduled to open on Sept. 19. Find a list of them here.
