Tucson hosts tripleheader in 2025 Arizona Fall League schedule | Sports

TEMPE, Ariz. (KVOA) – Major League Baseball (MLB) has unveiled the schedule for the 2025 Arizona Fall League, featuring a tripleheader in Tucson

The season kicks off on Oct. 6 at Scottsdale Stadium, with the Peoria Javelinas facing the Scottsdale Scorpions at 6:30 p.m. Arizona local time. Followed by the Glendale Desert Dogs visiting the Salt River Rafters, and a visit from the Surprise Saguaros to the Mesa Solar Sox on Oct. 7 where the teams will open their campaigns, officials said. 

Tucson will host a tripleheader at Kino Sports Complex on Oct. 11, showcasing all six teams. Another tripleheader is scheduled for Oct. 18 in the West Valley at Goodyear Ballpark.

AFL fans can enjoy the Home Run Derby on Nov. 8 at Sloan Park in Mesa, Arizona, and the Fall Stars Game on Nov. 9. Both AFL games will be broadcast live on MLB Network.

The new playoff format allows all six teams to reach the postseason, with the top two earning first-round byes.

Quarterfinals begin on Nov. 13 at Scottsdale Stadium, followed by semifinals on Nov. 14 at Salt River Fields.

The AFL Championship Game is set for Nov. 15 at Salt River Fields and will be available on MLB Network, MLB.com and the MLB App.
