Apartment fire breaks out on Northwest side | Top Stories

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA-TV) Emergency crews and first responders are at the scene of an apartment fire at the Flamingo Suites, Sunday afternoon, near N. Oracle Rd. and W. Lavery Ln. 

According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, the fire started around 3 p.m. 

Pima County Sheriff’s deputies have shutdown W. Lavery Ln. and one of the southbound lanes on N. Oracle Rd.

A Northwest Fire spokesperson tells News 4 Tucson, the apartment was vacant at the time of the fire. One person was taken to a nearby hospital for observation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
