Phoenix man arrested for sexual contact with minor

PHOENIX — A 25-year-old Phoenix man was arrested after he allegedly had sexual contact several times with a minor, according to court documents.

The 16-year-old victim told investigators that she met Jason Guevara at a Mexican restaurant near Indian School Road and Arcadia Drive in May when she would walk with a friend to the restaurant after school, court documents said. 

The girl told investigators that they began talking and learned they lived close to each other. After a while, he began offering her rides home, court documents stated. 

After some time, she told investigators, the relationship became sexual, court documents said. 

Evidence was taken from the victim’s cell phone, including text messages and photos that allegedly supported claims of the sexual relationship, court documents said. 

Guevara was arrested on July 30 and faces six counts of sexual contact with a minor.
