Arizona weather forecast: Hot weekend in store for Phoenix

Friday brought in a daytime high of around 109 degrees, and we’ll see mostly clear skies with an overnight low of around 80 degrees.

This Weekend:

Saturday, we’ll see a slight drop compared to Friday with a daytime high of around 107 degrees.

Sunday will bring in a high of 109 degrees with temperatures continuing to warm into Monday under a ridge of high pressure. This ridge will keep us dry with monsoon activity returning next week.

Next Week:

Rain chances will increase for the high county early next week, with the Valley seeing the potential for rain as early as Tuesday night through Friday.

Wednesday and Thursday look to be the greatest chance of receiving rain in the lower deserts. Breezy to gusty winds will develop Friday and Saturday with gusts up to 30 MPH for the beginning of the weekend.

In addition to the chance of rain, temperatures will also drop before another brief warming trend.

Next Week:

In eastern Arizona and eventually northern Arizona, moisture starts to return to the state beginning late Monday.

By Tuesday and especially Wednesday, rain chances increase in Arizona, with the best chance for storms from Wednesday through Thursday. It will turn more humid and high temperatures will start to slide back down from 110 Monday in Phoenix to 106 mid-week.
