VAIL, Ariz. (KVOA) – Thousands of kids in the Vail Unified School District return to school Monday, marking the start of a new academic year.
Elementary and middle school students are back in class this morning, while high school students will begin their school year on Friday.
A new addition to the district, Saguaro Creek, will open its doors for the first time.
The school broke ground last year. Teachers and staff celebrated the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its Rockin K Community Campus on Thursday.
