PHOENIX — A party ended in gunfire in Phoenix early Saturday morning. One person died and two other people were injured in the shooting.

The Phoenix Police Department said the shooting happened at a party at an apartment complex at around 4:30 a.m. near 40th Street and Camelback Road.

When officers got to the scene, they found 18-year-old Noel Nava with a gunshot wound. He later died at the hospital from his injuries, police said. Another person was found at the scene with a gunshot wound but was treated and released, police said. A third person showed up at a nearby hospital with an injury that was “also caused by gunfire,” police said.
