Person struck, killed by train in Tucson


A person was struck and killed by a train Tuesday morning on Union Pacific property on Tucson’s west side, authorities said.

The incident occurred about 8 a.m. near Interstate 10 and West Grant Road, Union Pacific said.

The person had trespassed onto Union Pacific property prior to being struck.

No train crew members were injured.

No details about the incident were released Tuesday.
