Man dead, suspect arrested after north Phoenix shooting



The shooting happened near 42nd Avenue and Bell Road.

PHOENIX — A man has died after he was shot at a north Phoenix apartment complex late Monday night. Police say they have a suspect in custody.

The shooting happened near 42nd Avenue and Bell Road shortly after 10 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the victim with a gunshot wound.

First responders rushed the man to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. His identity wasn’t released.

Officers were able to identify a potential suspect and took him into custody.

Homicide detectives are working to learn more about the fatal shooting.

Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
