Fight leads to deadly stabbing in Phoenix

PHOENIX — One man has died and another has been taken into custody after a stabbing just east of downtown Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department. 

The department told 12News that officers were called to the area of 16th and Roosevelt streets at about 6 p.m. on Friday due to a fight.

When the officers got to the scene, they found a man who had been stabbed. 

That man was taken to a nearby hospital and later died. 

Officers investigating the stabbing learned that the other man involved in the fight was still near the scene. They were able to find him and take him into custody. 

Neither of the men involved in this case has been identified and no other details were released.
