Looking for something fun to do this Easter Sunday? Whether you’re out hunting for eggs or indulging in a sweet treat, there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Here’s a roundup of local events that promise to make your day extra special.

Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt

Get ready for a glowing adventure as the annual Glow in the Dark Egg Hunt returns. According to a Facebook post, the glowing egg hunt kicks off tonight at 7 p.m. at the Donna Liggins Community Center, located at 2160 North 6th Avenue. The event will have separate egg hunts for different age groups to ensure that everyone has a fair chance to participate and have fun finding the 300 hidden eggs, the Facebook post states. Participants are encouraged to bring a large basket to collect eggs and are welcome to bring food and drinks to share.

Grand Opening of Scrumdiddly

After a long day of egg hunting in the heat, grab a $1 scoop of ice cream to cool you down. According to co-owner Andria Boland, in celebration of the shop’s grand opening this weekend, Scrumdiddly is offering scoops for just one dollar. She said, the shop will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the first 50 customers receiving free ice cream for a year. On Easter Sunday, they’ll open at the same time but close at 9 p.m. They’re located at 12120 N Dove Mountain Blvd. They offer flavors ranging from classic vanilla to a colorful superhero theme.

Catch a flick at The Loft Cinema

Since the sun will be shining and you might want to go inside, Loft Cinema is having an Easter showing of “Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit” at 2 p.m. According to the Loft Cinema, they’ll be giving out free bunny ears and Easter candy while supplies last. Tickets will be regular admission prices: $8 for general admission and $7.50 for children and seniors. Member passes will be accepted too.
