TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – Tucson Botanical Gardens is hosting a family-friendly Earth Day celebration featuring crafts, activities, and live performances. The event, led by the Gardens’ Education team, aims to engage both youth and adults with a variety of interactive experiences.
Visitors can enjoy Earth Day-themed scavenger hunts, learn about solitary bees, and participate in botanical arts like leaf printing and plant shadow drawings. The Gardens will also offer docent-led tours every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., showcasing their sustainability practices.
Musical entertainment includes a singing bowls performance and meditation by Bev Pauls, as well as a performance by Gamelan Dewi Malam, Tucson’s Balinese Gamelan orchestra. The event is included with Gardens admission.
