MARANA, Ariz. (KVOA) – Marana Police Department is hosting a Car Seat Safety Class on Wednesday, April 23rd, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
The class will take place at the Marana Police Station’s Community Room, located at 11555 W. Civic Center Dr., Marana, AZ 85653. With only 12 spots available, attendees are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
Motor vehicle collisions are the leading cause of unintentional deaths for children ages 1 to 19 years old. Studies have shown that using a properly installed car seat or booster seat can reduce a child’s risk of death by up to 71% and can reduce the risk of serious injury by up to 67%.
At the end of the class, each family will receive a car seat most appropriate for their child free of charge.
