4 the Weekend: Tucson’s agave festival and Tombstone’s rose parade | 4 The Weekend



TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – This weekend is packed with festivals and celebrations across Southern Arizona. From agave appreciation to a blooming rose parade, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

The Agave Heritage Festival is in full swing at Hotel Congress. The four-day festival highlights the importance of the agave plant and its role in our daily lives. The festivities continue through the weekend.

In Tombstone, the Rose Tree Parade celebrates the 139th blooming of the world’s largest rose tree. The event features a packed schedule, including the coronation of the Rose Queen on Friday, a parade on Saturday, and family fun on Allen Street on Sunday. Each day begins at 10 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m.

Saturday marks the 47th Annual Blessing of the Sonoita Vineyards in Elgin. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Sonoita Vineyards Winery. Organizers say it’s a great chance to enjoy delicious wine and meet new people.
