Morning Weather Forecast – 2/10/2025
We are expecting cooler temperatures this week, but how long will it stick around?
Officials with the National Weather Service’s Phoenix office say dry and warm conditions will continue in the Phoenix area.
However, forecasters also say there is a chance for rain across the Desert Southwest later on in the week.
Conditions Today:
NWS forecasters say temperatures in the lower desert should reach the upper 70s during the afternoon hours, while higher terrain will see highs in the lower 70s.
Looking Ahead:
Forecasters say starting on Tuesday, cooler temperatures will settle into the region, with high temperatures dropping to around normal levels.
For Phoenix, a high of 72°F is expected for Tuesday. That drops to 53°F in Prescott, and 52°F for Show Low.
Rain in Phoenix?:
Forecasters say a storm system impacting the West Coast during the middle to latter part of the week could result in “favorable desert rain and mountain snow across the Southwest United States.”
“Total forecast rainfall amounts for the period range from less than 0.1″ in the Yuma area, 0.3-0.5″ in the Phoenix area, to 0.75-1.00″ over the higher terrain northeast and east of Phoenix,” NWS officials wrote, citing preliminary forecasts.
